Causes: Labor Unions
Mission: The redmond education association promotes and improves the status of educators. We strive to develop and maintain improved working conditions in redmond school district 2j. Our work includes member representation in collective bargaining with public employers and other employer agreements, promoting qualify teaching and sound education programs, thereby creating goodwill between educators and community members.
Programs: 1. Sucessfully bargained new contract for 2017-2018
1. Awarded college scholarships to help students achieve post high school dreams. 2. Recognized and celebrated retiring educators. 3. Provide "new teacher" training, mentoring and guidance through partnership with redmond school district. 4. Advocated for and defended member rights. 5. Provided new and better ways to support all students by facilitating constructive dialogue with teachers and the redmond school district. 6 participated on the redmond school district budget taskforce to ensure funds were directed to support student growth and achievement. 7. Participated in the improvement of the teacher evaluation system by providing high quality feedback, thus improving teaching qualify and learning for all students.
