Causes: Community Improvement & Capacity Building
Mission: Red Oak Realty established R.O.O.F. in 1985 for the purpose of supporting local homeless, educational, and other organizations whose focus is helping residents of the communities Red Oak serves. The goal of R.O.O.F. is to assist smaller local charitable organizations which do not receive significant funding from other sources, in order to make a significant and observable contribution to the aims and objectives of that organization.
Results: Since 1985, thanks to the generosity of the R.O.O.F. community, R.O.O.F. has distributed grants totaling more than $850,000. In 2006 and 2007 alone, R.O.O.F. granted nearly $200,000 to worthy organizations, enabling them to make a real difference in the lives of many East Bay residents.
