Causes: Mental Health, Residential Mental Health Treatment
Mission: It is the mission of fellowship house to assist adults with severe and persistent psychiatric disabilities and individuals that also have co- occurring disorders, achieve the maximum level of community integration and self-reliance. This is accomplished by providing a comprehensive continuum of programs and services offering supportive opportunities for vocational and social rehabilitation as well as residential options, case management, and psychiatric services.
Programs: Residential program - provides supervised residential facilities varying from twenty-four hour closely supervised group housing to satellite aprartments providing assistance to mental health clients on an "on call" basis.
day/night program - provides community center activities and assists participants in developing social and general skills applicable to many environments (i. E. Social, work, training, etc. )
case management - provides services to establish a plan of care by providing members with adequate continuity of care including linkage with outside agencies and services.
behavioral health program - provides professional assistance to participants with mental health treatment and therapeutic services including consultation and evaluation, medication management, treatment plan review and individual and group therapy to increase coping with mental illness and preventing relapse. Fellowship house is committed to helping the persons served, who are called "members" to better understand their illness, develop coping strategies, improve their quality of life and experience recovery. Fellowship house is a cost effective and humanistic alternative to institutional care and offers the long term support and acceptance that is vital to recovery. During the year ending june 30, 2015, fellowship house proudly served over 1,100 members, providing 150,000 services tailored to individual need and treatment. Fellowship house underwent another successful commission on accreditation of rehabilitation facilities (carf) survey, where our high quality services and contributions to the adult mentally ill community were recognized. Our clubhouse, club fellowship, moved to its new location in november 2014. The space has a much larger capacity in which to expand our membership and includes a full industrial kitchen, thanks in part to another grant provided by the health foundation of south florida. In our ongoing efforts to provide housing services to our community, fellowship house partnered with sfbhn for the small pilot "rubio" project. We received additional funding within our state contract to provide higher intensity services for a small group of individuals who were also involved in the criminal justice system.
