When the Poultney Rescue Squad volunteers are not busy saving lives, they grant special birthday wishes to the local children of Poultney VT. In the midst of a nationwide pandemic, they made my seven-year-old daughter's birthday wish come true. I will never forget the look on her face when the ambulance pulled up around the corner and stopped directly in front of our home. It was the ultimate gift for her to sit in the driver's seat, turn on the siren and lights then check out the back where the patients ride. My daughter gets beyond excited just to see an ambulance drive by so for her it was a dream come true and one birthday she will never forget.
