Mission: To provide homes and healing for orphan children and displaced single parent families
Programs: Potter children's home and family ministries is a faith-based, non-profit organization that serves children and families in need through two programs. Their foster care program serves children ages 6-18 who are in need of an out of home placement but are able to remain in the custody of their families. They can receive therapeutic services in a safe, structured environment at no cost to their families until they are able to return home or reach adulthood. Their single parent program provides a free apartment and utilities for single parent families, in addition to counseling, case management, and parenting support. As they gain stability they are able to grow through education, job training and financial counseling until they are able to live independently. In 2017 potter served 12 children in the foster care and 21 single parent families, for a total of 18,480 days of care.
