Mission: To stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to aid in the protection of native trees, plants and birds, to encourage civic beauty, and to improve and protect the quality of the environment through programs and action in the fields of conservation and education.

maintenance of clubhouse and gardens to benefit organizations and to hold educational programs open to the public.
grants and similar amounts paid to organizations for purposes of conservation, education, and beautification. Scholarship funds to further education in botany and horticulture.
memberships in other organizations that conduct charitable, educational and scientific activities including garden club of america providing an opportunity to share ideas and information with national, regional and local garden clubs that will assist in furthering our exempt purpose. Memberships in other organizations allows for members of the portland garden club to become involved and receive information regarding current trends in conservation, education and beautification.
