Causes: Business & Industry
Mission: To promote the general welfare of and to improve business conditions for persons engaged in the business related to the snow skiing industry and through cooperation with governmental agencies to sponsor, support or oppose legislation that will affect the ski industry
Programs: Pennsylvanis's 4th /5th grade snowpass program was introduced as an affordable and effective means to teach 4th and 5th grade students about the sports of skiing and snowboarding. This program continues to be a hit with parents and families creating life-long participants of winter sliding fun. This program also reminds families that spending time together in the mountains of pennsylvania is a healthy, safe and fun family activity. The snowpass program offers students in 4th and 5th grade over 60 days of skiing annually. To date, over 117,058 4th and 5th grade students have taken advantage of the program. All member ski areas participate.
the psaa dedicated skier program offers participants lift ticktsthat can be used at any psaa member ski area throughout the winter. This is the only interchangeable lift ticket voucher program in the state of pennsylvania. Vouchers are accepted at all 18 member ski areas. Quantities are limited, but sell out each year with over 80%redemption.
psaa first time ski & snowboard program is an inexpensive way tointroduce people to the sport of skiing and riding. Vouchers areoffered to consumers through january (pa ski & snowboard month) and are accepted at all psaa member ski resorts.
