Mission: Parrott creek child and family services, in partnership with others, helps families and youth identify strengths and develop skills that build stronger families and a safer community.
Programs: Residential program: therapeutic care including individual and family treatment, personal skill building classes, and accredited high school education for adjudicated males 14-18 years old. The shelter care program provides stabilization, assessment and transition services to boys age 14 to 18, through a 60 to 90 day out of home placement. While in shelter care, an assessment of the youth, the family home setting, readiness for treatment, and appropriate community supports and placement options will occur. The youth and their family are also involved in individual and family counseling.
adolescent services:first time juvenile offender diversion programs and social skill groups for boys. Over 200 girls and boys participated. The lifeguards counseling program is a community based program that serves adjudicated male and female adolescent sex offenders, most of whom have been referred by the clackamas juvenile department. Treatment consists of weekly therapeutic peer groups and monthly individual and family counseling sessions. Clients are expected to take full responsibility for their offenses, pass a full disclosure polygraph and complete a psycho-educational curriculum as well as adhere to their probation guidelines. Treatment generally lasts for 14 to 24 months.
family services- alcohol and drug services: counseling, referral, and support for individuals facing issues of drug & alcohol.
