I have had the opportunity to meet and work with the team at Parents Foundation for Transitional Living. Jennifer, Keren and Emma work extremely hard to keep their employees happy!!! PFTL provides a valuable service to the community finding homes for the most vulnerable in their time of need.

I provide services for Parents' Foundation in New Haven, specifically I have installed and maintained a video surveillance system for them and on occasion I do minor telecom work for them. They have always been accommodating when I've been on site, and they are always quick to pay their invoices. This creates a mutual giving relationship and is the primary reason I consider them one of my favorite clients.

Working with Parents Foundation For Transitional Living for the past several years has been an uplifting experience. I have worked with Board members, the Executive Director and other professionals and para-professionals. Without exception, every single employee here gives his/her heart and soul to their work. They care for the residents with as much love and compassion as though they were family members. What an exceptional place for those who need this type of home.

I have been with the Parents Foundation since it's inception. We knew when we started there was a real need to help people in this population. That need hasn't changed and we are happy and proud to be around and work intelligently and empathetically with all the people and families who need us.

My company provides technology services to PFTL. The interactions that I see between staff and patients is always professional, kind and engaging. As a person from the outside, you can see the compassion and care that everyone from the Executive Director on down brings to the organization and its residents.

Our son has been a resident of PFTL for nearly two years. When he started we feared he might never be able to begin the journey to living independently. But through the work and kindness of the caring staff here he is about to move into a more independent living situation. Fortunately he was able to do this because PFTL also offers a "menu" of support structures for those who are launching and will be residing in the community. We find PFTL a very supportive, growth oriented environment, and wonderfully helpful to our family.

As a former employee of Parents Foundation of Transitional Living, in my current role as Executive Director of an organization working towards ending housing instability for people with severe and persistent mental illness and as Conservator to my adult sister, living with autism and schizophrenia, I feel compelled to share how vital PFTL is to our community. The quality of services coupled with the comforts of home, create a professional, relaxed and motivating environment for all. Their residential model is exactly what is needed to support this adult population. With dignity and respect, programs meet everyone where they are and work towards growth in their activities of daily living and empowerment. Recovery is possible for everyone and it is a beautiful thing to see and support at PFTL.

I have a loved one at PFTL and I cant say enough about the quality of care that has been provided. The staff members are kind, attentive, caring and encouraging. The groups have afforded an opportunity to learn, listen and speak on a variety of topics that are both familiar and new. In addition, there is a real sense of community within the house and an ease to transition into the community at large. If possible independence is always encouraged.

I am a relative of one of the residents of Parents Foundation. There are two things that quickly come to mind. First, phone calls with my relative reveal to me how much he enjoys the enriching living environment he has. From exploring local attractions and foods to a diversity of enriching social activities, he always has something new to talk about that he enjoys. Second, The leadership team is truly exceptional. They are on top of the most complex and personal issues my relative faces and can direct activities and programs that best support him. There is also great attention to the quality of care regarding both resident satisfaction and clinical outcomes.

My brother has been a resident at PFTL for almost 2 years. PFTL has been a life-saver for him and our family. The staff truly care about him and provide the highest level of attention to both him and the family. The Executive Director closely oversees the operations and ensures residents receive the best possible care. No one ever wants their loved one to live anywhere but home, but when they are not capable of living independently, PFTL is the very best next thing.

Working with Parents’ Foundation has been a truly enlightening and eye-opening experience. The comprehensive care plans developed by the recovery and enrichment team as well as the case management team really work to promote growth and development for our residents. The emphasis on quality of life and independence makes a huge difference in the progress and results Parents’ Foundation residents see during their time with the program. It’s an organization I’m proud to represent and be a part of!
