Mission: To support the economic security of pacifica families and individuals by providing a safety net of food, housing assistance, and other critical services including coaching, advocacy, information and referral.
Programs: Pacifica resource center supports the economic security of pacifica families and individuals by providing a safety net of food, housing assistance, and other critical services, including coaching, advocacy, information, and referral. Its vision is to assure the basic needs of every pacifican are met so that every member of its community has food shelter, and the opportunity to thrive. This year, prc assisted 1 in 10 pacifica families by providing food to benefit nearly 24,000 pacifica children, adults, and seniors; preventing homelessness and sheltering 228 pacificans; preparing taxes for 173 households, generating nearly $214,000 in refund and saving $40,000 in tax preparation fees; helping to prepare 152 pacifica youth for the new school year with grade-appropriate school supplies; providing happy holidays to 211 children through its adopt-a-family program, as well as thanksgiving assistance to 474 pacificans; and, providing over 100 showers (3/17-6/17) to homeless pacificans through its new shower program.
