Mission: Pacifica is a unique 400 acre natural reserve dedicated to education and to the celebration of plants, the environment, and the arts throughout the community and beyond.
Programs: Education about environment: offer field trips; summer camps and a unique mobile science-nature center which provides programs to 5,000 k-5th children; interpretive signage on grounds, trails, buildings; education about arts: hold the only sculpture contest in southern oregon, offer classes, summer camp; offer winter and spring arts festivals (venues for local artists and musicians); education about plants: support educational nursery interns, offer childrens field trips, provide interpretive signage in the gardens; botanic gardens, a living museum to: learn about plants and to maintain a diverse genetic resource of native and ornamental plants; nursery: to cultivate, protect and disseminate threatened, hard to find native and non-native plants; support educational nursery interns; community: buildings, grounds and trails are used by adults, families, children as well as for community events, meetings, classes, and gatherings; nature reserve: 200 wild acres, including 4 native habitats to protect multiple native plants, animals, birds; offer seven miles of trails for education, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, picnicking.
