Mission: Outpost in the burbs is a nonprofit, all volunteer, outreach organization dedicated to building community through music, community service, and cultural programs.
Programs: Music series consisting of 18 performances, with a total of 3,024 attendees. Expenses were offset by ticket sales.
8 spiritual drumming workshops attended by approximately 100 persons, and production of a concert benefiting the light of day foundation, inc. Expenses were offset by donations.
16 community service activities including 5 workdays providing food and companionship to approximately 405 needy persons at church of the epiphany and christ church in orange, nj, and 4 workdays providing food and companionship to approximately 280 needy persons at the montclair emergency services for the homeless in montclair, nj. Presented a free concert for the community as part of the montclair summer center stage program. At 2 concerts, coordinated with the toys for tots campaign to assist needy children. At 2 other concerts, patrons brought food which was donated to the human needs food pantry. The organization had a total of 16 participants provide assistance to the community food bank of nj in hillside, nj on 2 occasions.
