Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development - Religious Leadership
Mission: Help at risk youth in finding value and purpose in their lives by providing assistance with homework, physical activities, and clubs for the youth to participate in.
Programs: American heritage girls. Troops are made opf of girls aged 5-18 who meet together to learn new skills, such as leadership, community service, teamwork, and strengthing character. The girls earn acheivement badgis and receive activity patches for participating in troop activities or events.
boxing club:the boxing club served approximately 65 children per day in the after school training program. The state boxing championship for the 110 lb category was held at the boxing club. Held a boxing show in the streets of santa ana which attracted boxing clubs from all over california and nevada. This event was not a fund raiser but was a community service project where citizens could watch for free. Attendance was over 800.
after school activities:conducted 13 different after school m. A. D. (making a difference)clubs that served approximately 600 children. Provided youths with volunteer opportunities and helped keep kids off the streets and out of gangs. Sent 100 youth to a week of summer camp. Conducted 3 week long day camps during the summer for youth between the ages of 5 and 8 serving over 100 children. Took over 200 youth on field trips that included soccer games, hockey games, boxing tournaments, tv shows, and museums. Ten youth were sent to the devil pups at camp pendleton.
