Mission: The ocumlgee heritage trail is the only riverside trail and park system in middle georgia. It is the first and foremost a recreational resource providing an environment for walking, biking, boating, bird watching and other activities. It is also a cultural resource that connects people and places to a shared history along the ocmulgee river.
Programs: During the fiscal year ended june 30, 2012, ocmulgee heritage trail of middle georgia, inc. Ceased operations and dissolved. The organization's assets were transfered to newtown macon, inc. , an organization which continues the programs and shares the mission of ocmulgee heritage trail of middle georgia, inc.
