Mission: Washoe legal services provides northern nevada's vulnerable populations access to justice, regardless of their ability to pay, to protect their rights, safety and family stability.
Programs: Wls provides services in the following areas: child advocacy, family law involving domestic violence, elder law, immigration, private landlord/tenant, consumer issues, and has a pro bono project where individuals are placed for no cost legal services/advice with a private attorney. Over the past 10 years wls has provided counsel, advice and representation in over 60,000 individual and family legal matters with current annual case loads averaging more than 7,500. The organization has experienced a growth in services far out pacing population growth in the same time period. As services have expanded demand for such services continues to increase.
