Causes: Business & Industry
Mission: To facilitate cooperation among operators of youth camps for their mutual benefit and to promote the common good of youth camps in the state of north carolina.
Programs: Increased camp membership by 8. 8% with representation in 18 counties (alleghany, buncombe, caldwell, chatham, haywood, henderson, guilford, jackson, macon, mitchell, pamlico, randolph, richmond, rockingham, stokes, transylvania, tyrell, and wake)- continued work with camp related legistlative issues- began work on a new website, working on a member resource directory, more twitter feeds to keep members up to date on issues and events. - monitored and informed camps of possible school calendar issues in the ga. - closely monitered tax code reform to inform member camps of upcoming concerns and details. - monitored buidling code adjustments as it affected camps. - ncyca ed was invited to attend the national aca board of directors meeting. - ed also attended the aca national conference.
