Mission: The mission of the north brooklyn community boathouse is toa. Foster public awareness, environmental stewardship and appreciation of the ecological, water-use, historic, and recreational issues and value of the waterways of the city of new york, particularly those surrounding the greenpoint and williamsburg neighborhoods of brooklyn and their environs; b. Educate the public as to issues concerning urban estuary ecology and recreational waterway access and use; andc. Provide, sponsor, and coordinate programs and opportunities to enable the public to safely access and enjoy the waterways in an environmentally sustainable manner via human-powered watercraft.
