Mission: The fulfillment of the Great Commission depends on church planting. Jesus told us to disciple, baptize, and teach (Matthew 28:19-20). Those three things are done in the context of the local church. When you sponsor a Church Planter, you join an indigenous African family to plant multiple churches, develop leaders, make disciples, and reach the unreached of Ethiopia and Kenya! This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity that will build your faith as you read their incredible stories, pray for their families and even visit their ministries on a short–term trip someday! Sustainable Churches The strategy of each Church Planter is to evangelize a community, raise up a leadership team and within three years establish a self-sustained local church. Once this is accomplished they move to another unreached village and repeat the process. The churches they plant are locally supported by the congregation! While we may come along with Community Development Projects or trainings, etc., we do not support the actual church. We want to make sure that the church is self-sustained and not dependent upon foreign aid. What is even more exciting is that right from the beginning our Church Planters impart the concept of multiplication to their new church plants. This ensures that the new Church already understands the commission to continue planting churches even after we have left. While we report the churches we plant with our teams, there are thousands more of second and possibly even third generation churches that have been planted through our initial church plant! Equipping Church Planters & Community Development Projects Ensuring that a Church Planter has the tools he needs to accomplish his commission is an integral part of what we do! Providing tools such as Solar Powered Portable Jesus Film Kits, Mountain Bikes, Motorbikes, Solar Powered Audio Bibles, Bibles, Gospel Booklets, Discipleship Materials, and Trainings bring our church planting efforts to the next level. Additionally, during the Church Planting process research is done to discover the various needs of the community. There may be a need for a public latrine, community health training event, a fresh water well, a widow & orphan project or a medical mission. Our heart is to show the LOVE OF JESUS through these various Community Development Projects that improve the physical needs of the people we are reaching. Currently 99.7% of mission activity and funding from the US is focused on areas where there is already an established church. Our focus is the opposite:
Target demographics: Establish Evangelical Churches where there are none!
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 200 communities in Africa!
Geographic areas served: Ethiopia, Kenya, Ghana, and beyond!
Programs: Indigenous Church Planting, Indigenous University Student Mobilization, Community Development Projects, Jesus Film, Audio Bibles, Discipleship Training.
