Mission: Ncc unites and leads community partners to improve the health of nevadans through cancer prevention and early detection, education, and advocacy.
Programs: Cancer prevention, early detection, survivorship, surveillance and research - development and execution of evidence-based programs to reduce the risk of developing cancer, increase early detection and appropriate screening for breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung cancers, address quality of life issues for nevadan's affected by cancer, and improve coordination and collaboration between cancer control efforts.
cancer summit - a statewide conference featuring sessions on targeted topics throughout the cancer continuum, from prevention to survivorship. Bringing together physicians, nurses, advocates, survivors, administrators and more, the one-day summit serves to share cutting-edge information and update practitioners on the latest topics in cancer care.
smoke free meetings and outdoor spaces - program to prevent lung cancer and detrimental health effects of tobacco in communities by identifying and creating smoke-free indoor spaces and tobacco/smoke/vapor free parks and recreational areas.
