Programs: Rental management program: neighborhood renewal services currently owns and manages three units of affordable housing in the city of saginaw (nrs, at one time, had fifteen units but has recently sold/disposed of some of its rental properties).
home ownership promotion initiative: neighborhood renewal services provides free housing counseling services to local residents and to anyone referred from the national hope now alliance foreclosure prevention hotline. Nrs has worked with its existing loan customers who purchased homes with loans and grants from nrs. First and second mortgages were originated for 311 first time home buyers in saginaw over the life of the program.
nrs is involved in various revitalization projects within the city of saginaw. Most of the resources of the organization are used for this purpose.
