Mission: The mission of The Neighborhood Center is to create community, opportunity, and hope for the children and families of Camden, New Jersey in order to break the cycles of poverty. We are the "village" that a child needs to grow up healthy, educated, and connected to community. By providing a wide range of programs for children, from babies to graduating high school seniors bound for college, we help kids in Camden grow up with everything kids need to thrive: sports, arts, academic support, healthy and delicious food, outdoor spaces to play and grow gardens, and a community of adults who know them and care for them as valued individuals. By building on strength, we help to break the cycle of poverty, and help kids grow up with optimism and opportunity.
