What a great day at the GastroPark with Natural Dividends. This is the second year I have attended their annual event, which has significantly impacted the community. Last year they said there were about 500 lbs of trash picked up, and this year we picked up 224 lbs! What a great impact on the local community. I can't wait to attend next year!
I worked with natural dividends for my capstone project. They were the best clients! They were responsive, met with me regularly and was generous with their resources and insights. When I needed volunteers to participate in activities they quickly pulled together people. Such a great community organization and founders that really care about the environment and giving back.

This organization ran a cleanup nearby and I spent some time talking with the organizers. Their commitment was obvious, but what surprised me was that they were explaining simple life style changes that everyone can do to help us be better citizens. To help us pay it forward to Mother Earth. They not only cleaned up a park, they made people aware of how to keep it clean. They never once asked me for money, so I gave them some. Great work folks, carry on please.

This nonprofit has been helping a lot for our environment, I’ve attended their beach and hiking cleaning routines, people are so friendly and by talking with them, I have raised the awareness of protecting our environment from doing little things by little. As a board member of Natural Dividends, I have an opportunity to make lasting meaningful change. Many messages about protecting the environment are negative, leaving us feeling at fault. We see the need to change the conversation. To inspire others with achievable ways to protect the environment. We started Natural Dividends to bring a simple message to people. Creating a pathway to “Increase Nature’s Share.”
Although change doesn’t happen with one day a year but with consistent daily action. Every time we stop, we have to start over, and that is what happens with Earth Day each year. Let this year be the year we stop starting over on earth.
If you’re looking to make a change and don’t know what to do, know that you
can make a difference that counts no matter where or how small. You just need
to start TODAY.
I really like and often participate in various activities organized by this nonprofit. My favorite is making eco-friendly cards and posting them on bulletin boards to remind people of something simple while climbing a mountain. For example, throwing rubbish in the trash instead of throwing it away. The power of a person or an institution is very limited, and if we concentrate this limited power, it becomes an unlimited power, which is also the law of the development of human civilization. Human beings have created countless miracles in the long river of history. I admire people who work miracles, but today is the day we become the kind of people who start small and let time turn small things into miracles.

It's an amazing and incredible pick up trash event in Santa Monica beach. It's well organized, detailed safety training and fully equipped. More than 5 pounds of garbage can be collected in an hour, and the amount of plastic waste in it is staggering. Clear waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. Today, with the increasing development of various technologies, it is our luck that someone can slow down and deal with the problems brought about by development. We can't give up our jobs to go green like they did, but we can at least get involved more. Finally, if you come across a volunteer picking up litter at the beach, please say thank you.
