Mission: We are a people graced by God, who come together supporting each other as we live and celebrate the good news, share our faith , provide social services, provide religious and academic education for adults and children, and work for justice in our neighborhood and world.
Results: School enrollment for the 2008-09 school year increased by 30%. The success, well-being and growth in the school aids in the revitalization of this neighborhood.
Target demographics: Most Holy Trinity School is located in the Hyde Park area of North St Louis and primarily serves children in our neighborhood. The school enrolls children K-8th grade. Over 85% of our families qualify for the Free & Reduced Lunch program. Based on 2000 & 2005 census demographics, the unemployment rate for our immediate surrounding area is nearly double the average for the St Louis area. That same census data shows lower educational achievement for area residents, and without question, lower average household income for area residents. Education in this neighborhood is KEY to helping these families into a more economically productive life.
