Mission: Manages and distributes workers compensation payments for self-insured companies, as required by law
Programs: Missouri private sector individual self-insurers guaranty corporation processes workers' compensation claims for insolvent companies, thereby protecting the injured workers from losing their ability to collect workers' compensation in the state of missouri. The corporation presently administers 10 bankrupt companies who were self-insured at the time of their insolvency. 4 of those companies have exhausted all of the security that was posted with the state of missouri so those claims are now being paid on a pro-rata basis with available monies of the corporation's funds which had accumulated since the establishment of the fund.
