Causes: Civil Rights
Mission: The mission of the mississippi coalition against domestic violence is to bring about social change through advocacy for victims, technical assistance for member shelters, and promoting awareness with communities throughout mississippi.
Programs: Mcadv has provided on-gong technical assistance to our eleven member shelter programs throughout the state and has engaged in regular planning meetings to identify gaps in services, coordinate activities, and further assess technical assistance needs and training needs. Mcadv has convened six board meetings/member program meetings. An overall events calendar has been disseminated monthly to keep members abreast of coalition activities, each others' activities, and domestic violence related events in general mcadv has also convened special planning meetings dealing with monitoring of the strategic plan and board infrastructure development. The mcadv board of directors currently consists of 15 members.
