Causes: Job Training, Sheltered Employment, Vocational Rehabilitation
Mission: To empower adults with disabilities through vocational and social opportunities, and to guide them toward realizing their goals and dreams.
Results: -Eighth consecutive year of increased overall client wages, now above $565,000 annually. -In 2012, we opened a site in downtown North St. Paul for first of its kind Memory Care Services program. -During 2011, 125 clients regularly participated in self-advocacy activities, including 25 individuals meeting with their legislators during three Capitol visits. -Our recycling program processed 696,000 pounds of plastic bags and film in 2011. This is the equivalent of diverting 30 million plastic grocery sacks from the landfills.
