Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development
Mission: To maximize the utilization of sport as a positive social agent for change on both a domestic and international level.
Programs: Managers on a mission maximized the faith, talent and resources of the sports industry to impact many in the united states and africa in 2014. Managers on a mission connected 3 future leaders of sport with a fully funded 3 week mission trip to malawi that challenged the individuals to lead nearly 100 orphans in a daily sports camp.
managers on a mission distributed 200 copies of coach tony dungy's book-"uncommon" to future leaders of sports throughout the united states. Managers on a mission challenged the individuals to read the book and write a reflective essay. It then awarded 3 scholarships totalling $1750. It also awarded a $500 scholarship in the summer of 2014. The number of individuals benefitting from the services of managers on a mission in 2014 is estimated to be approximately 250 current college students pursuing a career in sports, and 100 orphans in africa.
