Causes: Health
Mission: Promotion of medical, hospital and healthcare services throughout mono and inyo counties, eastern sierra nevada region, california. Provide assistance to people in need of health care as well as funds for advancements in facilities, technologies and programs.
Programs: Cancer outreach program provides support, resources and financial assistance to cancer patients living and working in mono county. Assistance is also available to help offset travel expenses for those receiving cancer care out of the area.
mammography and breast care program assists underprivilidged women of inyo and mono counties in paying for mammograms as well as covering travel costs for women with suspected or diagnosed breast cancer. Preventative screenings are provided to detect breast cancer early and ensure effective treatment.
athletic training program supports the services of certified athletic trainers to better the health and safety of mammoth high school and mammoth mountain ski and snowboard team athletes. Athletic trainers serve all of the high school sports and mammoth mountain teams by providing on-site emergency care, assessing, treating and rehabilitating injuries, and providing education on topics such as proper warm-up, injury prevention, nutrition and concussion. The goal is to reduce injury and allow young athletes to safely enjoy the academic and athletic benefits that come from sports participation.
