Causes: Civil Rights, Intergroup & Race Relations, Race
Mission: LYG boosts the self-esteem of lesbian, bisexual, transgender, gay and questioning youth by providing a safe space that encourages: positive life choices, healthy interactions with peers and adults, and develops activities in which youth are challenged to reach their full potential.
Programs: 15-30 gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning and allied (GLBTQA) youth gather each Friday night. These sessions serve to provide a healthy social opportunity for youth to interact, connect and bond with youth GLBTQA youth. While social, youth are also exposed to a variety of life-skills trainings including financial literacy, arts exploration, career development, etc.
