Mission: Long term care alternatives, inc. , was created by maura spery, nancy sorkow, karen gilleete, and noreen berger in 2013 as they graduated as licensed masters of social workers. Ltca offers alternative solutions for the challenges of aging through education, counseling, research and referrals. We want to help construct the third stage of life for our elders, friends and families as a fruitful, dignified and serene phase which will allow preparation and acceptance of aging and end of life with courage and love. Our mission is to serve as a resource and foster the values, principles, and practices of culture change: dignity, respect, self determination and purposeful living, for all who work and live in the continuum of long term care. Our long term goal is to create alternative housing that reflects these principles and ideals.
