Mission: With a budget of over $2.9 million annually and a workforce capacity of 30 diverse employees, LLEGÃ? is afforded the opportunity to develop solutions to social, health and political disparities that exist due to discrimination based on ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity and which affect the lives and well-being of Latino LGBT people and their families.
Programs: LLEGÃ? is home to an array of groundbreaking programs and services focused on developing solutions in the area of domestic violence, youth leadership development, civil rights and health advocacy, including reproductive rights and HIV/AIDS prevention. These programs include: ACCIÃ?N LLEGÃ?, AVANZANDO, BASTA, HORIZONTES and FUTURO AQUI. Throughout its 16-year history of dedicated service to diverse Latino communities, LLEGÃ? has consistently created innovative and progressive programming as a method of educating local Latino LGBT leaders and organizations about their significant role in the social development and advancement of the overarching civil rights and social justice movements. Through a growing network of 172 affiliate groups throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, LLEGÃ? serves as a center of information and resources for Latino LGBT communities.
