Causes: Food, Food Programs
Mission: Living hope farm inc looks to explore what it means to cooperatively raise food, to farm and manage livestock well in the 21st century; to treat the land as a treasure, and to think of food as a sacred gift. Living hope farm desires to build new connections; moving from commodities to community from fast food to fresh, local food and from mindless eating to a respectful, just oriented way of sharing what is grown.
Programs: The farm raises produce to sell and to educate the public about farming. The farm has a membership fee that it charges to cover the expenses of growing the produce. In addition, as part of their mission, the organization donates food/produce to local families in need as well as local food pantries. The farm donated approximately 3,400 pounds of food in 2017.
