Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: The Lighted Candle (TLC) is a 501(C)3 Non-Profit Charitable public benefit corporation dedicated to providing relief to the homeless and most underserved population of El Dorado County. TLC was established in 2017 in response to the large unhoused and chronically under-housed population in El Dorado County. Currently, our work is limited to the Western Slope; but we plan to expand to the South Lake Tahoe area in order to encompass all of El Dorado County.
Results: Through our services, we're watching our new friends improve their lives, find housing, get gainful employment and elevate themselves from the streets to being fully participating members of our society.

Programs: free weekly laundry service, homeless camp cleanups, friendships bags, mobile showers
