Mission: LifeWire supports survivors of domestic violence on their path towards safety, stability, and healing. We work to end domestic violence by changing community beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors.

Geographic areas served: LifeWire provides a continuum of innovative services that help victims survive domestic violence and rebuild their lives. From advocacy to counseling to flexible housing solutions, LifeWire provides a comprehensive range of programs and supportive services for survivor and their families.
Programs: LifeWire offers survivor-driven advocacy based on what survivors identify as important or necessary, including emotional support, safety planning, and resource referrals. LifeWire’s 24-Hour Helpline provides survivors and community members with support, resources, and options. Adult and children’s support groups offer survivors safe spaces to share their experiences, process trauma, and learn skills to help them heal. Through legal advocacy, survivors get help obtaining protection orders, developing parenting plans, filing for divorce, and navigating other legal matters. LifeWire offers one-on-one and group mental health therapy for survivors and their children, which can be key to healing from the trauma of domestic violence. At My Sister’s Home, LifeWire’s confidential emergency shelter, families in lethal situations receive housing and supportive services. My Friend’s Place provides confidential transitional housing and supportive services for families healing from both domestic violence and chemical dependency. Short-term rental assistance programs support families as they transition into safe and stable housing. LifeWire partners with area high schools and Bellevue College to ensure that young people have the tools they need to identify and build healthy relationships, support each other and family members, and practice leadership that promotes gender equity and challenges violent attitudes and behaviors.
