Results: The LIFE Program at Thrive SWFL has a measurable impact on the lives of women and children in crisis, breaking cycles of poverty and trauma. Over the past year, 95% of residents transitioned into stable housing after completing the program, and 87% achieved employment or enrollment in educational programs. Children in our care benefited from 100% access to safe, nurturing childcare, ensuring developmental milestones were met while their mothers pursued education and career goals. Through trauma-informed counseling, 92% of participants reported improved mental health and resilience, enabling them to rebuild confidence and stability. Additionally, our financial literacy and career readiness programs empowered 84% of participants to create sustainable budgets and secure higher-paying jobs. Every dollar invested in the LIFE Program creates a ripple effect, impacting not just the immediate families but also the communities they re-enter with newfound independence and self-sufficiency.
Target demographics: Thrive SWFL is a beacon of hope for women escaping domestic violence, human trafficking, & generational homelessness that are in crisis or unplanned pregnancies, single mothers and their children, and mothers working on reunification plans with their children. Since its founding 29 years ago, Thrive has provided a safe, secure home and holistic support to empower women to break cycles of poverty, abuse, and trauma. Over the years, we have served more than 250 women and over 200 children in Southwest Florida, transforming lives and families. At Thrive, we provide a comprehensive pathway to stability and self-sufficiency.

Thrive’s dual-focused model aims to restore hope in the hearts of mothers who have endured homelessness, domestic violence, extreme poverty, or other traumas while preventing their children from experiencing the same hardships. We foster long-term stability and generational change. A financially stable, empowered mother raising her children in a safe and loving environment is the cornerstone of a stronger community. Many of our graduates go on to inspire change locally and beyond, proving that sustainable stability is achievable through education, healing, and support. Our residents range from 19–45 years old. This reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of a broad demographic. Our life skills and parenting training programs are cutting-edge, relevant, and yielding remarkable results, with residents thriving in a supportive, growth-focused environment.
