I happened upon Leftoverpets.org by sheer accident, and am so grateful and blessed, that I did. We started out with 3 female cats, non if which were spayed (we intended for them to be inside cats and eventual spayed. Luck would have it that all three began to go outside and... a Male stray happened upon the scene. With weeks of one another, literally a week apart from one another they all had litters; 14 kittens in total! We also gained a Male puppy; boxer and chocolate lab mix, during this time.Since that day, all three mama cats have been spayed. Three kittens found homes before getting fixed, sadly one kitten passed away and only 2 kittens remain to be fixed but, have upcoming apts. Our puppy, Bruiser, has an appointment in September. I honestly can't say enough about this organization! The staff work tirelessly and with such professionalism yet, make you comfortable and confident in their abilities. My entire family is so appreciative that we accidentally found this fantastic group of people. And to think it all started in a parking lot.
Leftover Pets is one of the best groups I have ever worked with. We had an oopsie litter after rescuing a couple of dogs, and I have recently been out of work due to a major injury and chronic illness. I contacted leftover pets as a last hope during a very difficult time and they went above and beyond to help us get not only the puppies fixed, but mama as well. For the first time in months I am breathing a little easier with a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders thanks to Leftover Pets, their vets and techs. They stayed in contact the whole time with scheduling and answering any and all questions I had, including sending me studies and helped with all of my anxieties. They have checked on my dogs after surgeries, and just have been some of the most positive vet experiences of my life. I cannot go on enough on how amazing Leftover Pets and all of their staff are. I have been telling everyone I know about how amazing and helpful they are. Leftover Pets is easily the best thing about Winder, hands down. I truly believe they have helped more people than any other group or nonprofit in the area.
Not one person wore a name tag, I'm sure this is because of how they talk to people. They were extremely rude, told us they hope we never come back. Told my small children our dogs are bad because they bark a lot. Threatened to call animal control because they told us pickup was at five and then called and told us if we would be on time they wouldn't have a problem, saying pickup was at 4. I just wish for new staff. They told us they barely make minimum wage, I expressed that they chose what they do. After arguing for about 5 minutes straight for them to just give me my dogs so we could leave another staff member came out and said they would have called animal control because we were late. Please don't let this staff disrespect your or talk down to you about your furbabies.
This clinic is amazing, made sure my fur baby was comfortable, very affordable, so lucky to have such a great place local to me.
Leftover Pets helped us get the two outdoor cats fixed! Now they're safe to run about without fear of more kittens!
Leftover Pets has been a true blessing to myself and the lives that I've rescued through the years. Without them so graciously spaying and neutering and the other services they offer I could never afford to take these little souls in and place them in loving forever homes. They have helped me save so many lives. Susan, Laura and the staff are true saints! These are just a few of the many many lives they have helped me save.
God Bless Leftover Pets INC!!!
My name is Linda and I'm here to say that Leftover Pets is the Best place to go to for help. I have 5 kittens that I could not afford to spay or neuter, and I don't have the heart to put them in a pound not knowing if they will be adopted or be put down. So I contacted Leftover Pets and they fixed all my kitties and now they are safe at home with me.
I recommend Leftover Pets for all our fur babies. All the staff are very nice and friendly
people, they get you set right up. Thank you!
leftover pets d.b.a. the pet mechanics are an amazing orginazation they have been so helpful and has helped us spay and nuetur the cats that other people have dropped off in our front yard!
I am disabled and living on a fixed income. I took in a stray mama cat and her 5 kittens. I found a home for one of the kittens. I had to get the mama and the kittens fixed before I ended up with 20 kittens. Leftover Pets came to the rescue. They fix all the cats and even repaired a small hernia in one of the kittens for a price that I could afford. They took great care of my kitties and I cannot recommend them enough.
They have helped us with getting help for our sweet babies who needed neutered. They are always friendly and kind. They are a wonderful asset to the community.
They helped me spayed and neuter my furbies for just $10 they vaccinated, neutered, and clipped his ear and they even treated his fleas and ear mites. I desperately needed to have this done but I couldn't afford to pay for it. They are angels and they are very pleasant and caring staff. I recommend them to everyone that I know that needs their help. Thank you too the winder, Ga Left Over Pets staff for everything you have done and continue to do for me and everyone else furbies.
Leftover pets was super amazing in helping me get my sweet Birdie taken care of. Being a single mom who had been through a lot of sadden moments at that time; I did not have the means to get Birdie's shots nor to get her fixed. Many people had already asked me about breeding Birdie which is not something I wanted to do. They took care of everything for me! Leftover pets took the time to explain everything to me as well as things to watch for. I highly recommend them! Thank you again for helping me & Birdie during our time of need.
I heard about Leftover Pets a couple years ago. All the employees love the animals they have at the facility. The animals are very well taken care of and healthy. I have told many of my friends about them. I believe how I found out about them took 1 or 2 stray cats that I couldn’t keep.
Leftover Pets is an amazing and much needed asset in my community. We have had multiple stray dogs and cats as well as my personal pets spayed and neutered with the help of Leftover Pets. I have watched as they have spayed and neutered many local feral cat colonies in the area. They also help provide pet food to the low income community. So thankful to have a resource like them close by.
Hard working folks who use donations wisely and are accountable to their donors. Highly recommended.
We are so lucky to have Leftover Pets in our community. The love and care that they give each animal(even the more difficult ones) is nothing short of Angel work. They are seriously helping reduce the problem of backyard breeding and “oops” litters by giving an affordable option to those who otherwise couldn’t afford it! Not to mention the feral cat communities that have helped TNR over the years!! Barrow wouldn’t be the same without them! We love Leftover Pets!
This is a wonderful nonprofit!! Very professional and caring. Leftover Pets INC made it possible for me to keep two kittens dropped off in a dumpster at my work. I’m so thankful for Leftover Pets INC!
My husband and I have rescued many cats over the years that no one wanted. Leftover pets has been a lifesaver for our spay and neuter. We wouldn't have been able to help as many as we have without their program. They are a blessing to our area.
What an incredible service these guys offer! Their pricing is excellent. They communicate very well. I’m so thankful to have found these folks. What they’re doing for the animal population is outstanding. Wonderful people. Could not recommend highly enough!
Leftover Pets is my go to company for my animals needs (when I need them) I've had multiple animals spayed/neutered though them and had no issues with the ladies in the front office or the surgery results themselves. They really came through for me in my time of need when they didn't have to and for this I will be eternally grateful. If you need to have your animals spayed or neutered and want the best, essiest and great results look no further. Thank you Leftover Pets :)
I saw that leftover pets helped low income families get their fur babies fixed and vaccinated. I went to their website and filled out an application, because I’m a newly divorced mom with full custody of her two sons making a living on her own. So, I needed help getting my 6 fur babies fixed. They did an awesome job spaying my 4 male chihuahuas and neutering my 2 female chihuahuas. They fixed them, vaccinated them, gave them their rabies shots, and microchipped them. It was a smooth easy process and my fur babies bounced back quickly. When 2 of the boys incisions looked infected, I sent a picture to them and they got medicine for them quickly. They are very professional and friendly. I personally consider them all a blessing for helping people like me make sure their fur babies are taken care of. I HIGHLY recommend them and will continue to use their services, but hopefully be able to pay for them one day instead of needing donations. I also hope to be able to donate money to them and pay it forward. Leftover Pets are a wonderful organization and a wonderful group of people. Again, they are a blessing.
They were very kind, helpful and generous. My pet is happy and so am I. They are blessings to the community. I am very grateful for them.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GROUP. I took a neighborhood dog to get neutered and microchipped as well as his shots. Everything went great and I ended up keeping the dog. This group has been my go to nonprofit for the past two years.
For almost a year now, leftover pets has been helping my neighborhood fix a community of feral cats. With their help, I have successfully trapped and fixed 19 cats. I still have more to trap, but they have continued to answer my questions and offer support. THANK YOU LEFTOVER PETS!!
Leftover pets have helped me with all of my 5 cats. They truly love animals and take care of them as their own. I always recommend them to all my family and friends. I've also volunteered because they needed the help.
We had a 5 year old tomcat adopt us and we thought we’d get him neutered at the least. You were recommended and we are so glad. While taking care of his neutering you pointed out an eye issue that he had and referenced us over to a fantastic low cost surgery facility. Now we have a beautiful inside tomcat that will not let a lap go unoccupied. We love our Finn and you guys too!
I was looking for a place to take my puppy to get neutered and had read a few reviews of Leftover Pets. I filled out the forms to get an appointment and they contacted me promptly to schedule the procedure. They contacted me again a few days prior to the procedure to confirm the procedure and give me instructions. On the day of the procedure, I went in to find a very professional setting and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I left my puppy there for the day for him to get his procedure. When we went to pick him up, the post op instructions were clear, he was still a little groggy from anesthesia, but he was good! His incision looked great. He was in a little pain the next day, but overall, he was in good shape. He never experienced any swelling, redness or oozing. I have heard people from an animal hospital say that they would be careful of going to a place like this because you get what you pay for. That may be true at some places, but I would highly recommend anyone to take their pet here. Very professional, very friendly! Highly recommended!
Four years ago, i adopted a 12-week-old male feral kitten from Leftover Pets. He was terrified and distrustful of humans, and it was a challenge to gain his trust. I named him Tweek, after the character on the animated TV show South Park. After a couple months, i decided that he needed another cat to help him. At about the same time, i received an email from Leftover Pets, informing me that they had 2 of Tweek's sisters, born in the same litter, if i were interested in adopting one or both. Being inexperienced with feral kittens and struggling to gain the trust of Tweek, i did not think i could handle 3 feral kittens, so i chose one of the sisters and adopted her. I named her Sophie. She is not as afraid of people as her brother, and she has been a tremendous help with him. She keeps him company while i am at work (i hated leaving him home alone) and she protects him by checking out everything, while he hangs back. I have gained Tweek's trust, and he is now the sweetest, most affectionate kitty. and Sophie deserves a lot of credit. She has done a great job protecting and guiding her brother. I have kept in contact with Leftover Pets, and i occasionally send photos to show them the progress Tweek & Sophie have made. LO Pets made adoption easy, and they have been helpful and supportive afterwards. They answered all my question and gave me all the information they had so that i could make, as accurately as possible, a determination of the birthdate of my kitties, which we celebrate each year. I cannot say enough in their favor! (Leftover Pets is my chosen charity to receive donations based on my purchase amounts at Kroger grocery stores.) Photo #1 - Tweek @ adoption. Photo#2 - Sophie. Photo #3 - now.
I have nothing but nice things to say about this organization I have my female dog tiny spayed this afternoon and her microchip her surgery vaccination everything was free because of these wonderful people and a wonderful donor I couldn't be happier and I would recommend this organization to anyone that are looking to have their pets fixed..... they also offer other services as well the animal gets a free rabies vaccination and dhpp vaccination for free thank you Petco love...... Thank you leftover pets for taking care of my baby.
Went to vaccine clinic with my cat. He got
His shots and microchipped for free sponsored by PETCO . Such kind people giving their time to help pets and people ! I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the clinic too. Thanks so much for what you all do for the community!
When we rescued our sweet boy, he was not vaccinated or neutered. I reached out to Leftover Pets and immediately they responded to help us. Not only did they help with low cost neutering but also other services including chipping. Everyone is very friendly and compassionate, even called back when I had questions after hours.
I had my Chiweenie Hugo neuter there this Tuesday. And he came home with a new collar and his rabies tag. I thought that was sweet.
I have had all my animals fixed and got tags and shots there. Very good service
Since the beginning process of scheduling appts for my two doggies , everything was so easy to do and understand .
My two babies got neutered yesterday and they both did great!
I even asked if I could leave a blanket and toy for comfort and for both to be placed in the same crate,
They answered to all my questions , highly recommend clinic for your pets.
THE BEST! Everyone at leftover pets is so attentive, dedicated, and passionate about the well-being of cats and their mission of spay/ neuter. I have been here numerous times with my rescue kittens and have nothing but positive things to say. They really go above and beyond for our community. Just some examples of why they stand out—- Always friendly and always taking the time with their clients. I have overheard them arranging to help with TNR for large colonies…explaining in detail and very patient. They are ALWAYS looking to educate!! Always have so many resources to share with others. On a personal note, they have been able to work with me on last minute appointments, cancellations, etc. They help share on Facebook animals needing homes. They have given me information to share of community outreach programs to pass along those who need a little extra help. Absolutely outstanding. Thank you so much.
Absolutely phenomenal! We have used Leftover Pets multiple times in the past for our cats and once for our dog. Today we used them for our new beagle puppy, Kodi. She is my baby and I was nervous about leaving her- but Leftover Pets did a wonderful job with her and I knew she was safe! The communication is great, the staff is friendly, the service is top notch, and the price can’t be beat. She was spayed, given her rabies shot, and had her nails trimmed. I’m so thankful to have an organization like this in our community!
I had a stray cat hanging around my house. I called left over pets and they let me borrow a trap to catch it. I was able to bring it in and have it fixed and now I have a black and white cat who adorns my yard, plus no kittens for this one!!!
Leftover Pets, inc is nothing short of fantastic. I know the people that work there personally and I’ve seen all the things they do during business hours that make them so wonderful. Caring for customers, going beyond the regular effort that most places put forth.
Caring for the animals whether they are someone’s beloved pet or all the feral cats they encounter with the Trap, Neuter and Return they do. What a lot of people don’t see are the HOURS after closing time that they put in to try not to turn anyone away. All the research of new methods of care and learning new best practices with the continuing education they do. The hours of paperwork that is done at home AFTER they work all day to make sure everything is done the right way. Bottom line is they CARE. They care about what they do and who they do it for. The pet owners, the Citizens of Barrow County, and most of all, the animals. It’s what they wake up everyday, eagerly wanting to do, and that’s help the next person and their pet.
Leftover Pets has been a blessing for Barrow county. They have helped thousands of pets that otherwise wouldn't being fixed. Besides offering low cost neuter/spay, they also offer rabies vaccines, microchip, and participate in a program to donate food for pets whose owners are in financial difficulties. Thank you Leftover Pets for what you do for our community.
The best low-cost TNR and Spay/Neuter organization ever. Wholly dedicated to the welfare of all pets and offer resources to help citizens interested in TNR to help control the pet population and help keep critters out of the shelters.
The most dedicated organization I've ever worked with to TNR and spay/neuter services for a very affordable cost. They offer amazing help with feral colonies and will teach you how to safely trap feral cats/kittens to bring in, as well as, loan traps for those who need them. They work tirelessly to help curb pet overpopulation and do a tremendous service for all surrounding communities.
So Thankful for this group. I had a young female cat show up in yard. I don’t mind putting food out for her, but with
2 older inside cats and living on SS I’m not able to take care of veterinary cost for any more. Today, I took her to their office in the nick of time. She was already pregnant. They aborted the litter and spayed her at no cost to me. They also found and removed a pellet from her ear that some mean person shot her. The sweet little kitty is recovering tonight and will be released in the morning. I don’t think she’ll go far and I’ll be happy
To make sure she gets fed but she really deserves a home of her home.
We had a kitten and an adult dog spayed with Left over pets. From the very beginning with scheduling, online check in forms to post operative instructions they were beyond fantastic. We had no issues with our kitten but the adult dog has some post operative pain beyond the amount of pain meds sent home. Contacted left over pets and they gave us more meds at no cost. We had questions about her incision site after a week. We texted back and forth and was able to show them a picture of her belly and they answered all our questions super fast and put our minds at ease. While we don't have any more pets needing spaying or neutering if we ever have another pet needing to be we will DEFINITELY use them again. So highly recommend this place. They truly care about what they are doing.
I rescue cats and kittens that are homeless or feral. I would not be able to do this if it wasn’t for the low cost spay and neuter program Leftover Pets offers. They are friendly, knowledgeable and caring for every animal that walks through their doors. They have helped me with about 20 animals in about 5 years. They also help with feral cat colonies by trapping then spaying or neutering the cats. Then they help give food to the providers of the colony. I can say enough good things about this organization. I donate to them as often as I can whether it be money, cleaning supplies or food/litter for the feral program.
Leftover Pets is a fantastic, caring, professional organization. I have used them personally for 4 of my pets. I felt comfortable leaving my pets in their loving, caring hands. If you are not looking for a spay/neuter program for yourself at this time this is a great nonprofit that will put your donations to great use. We are fortunate to have them in our community!
I contacted Leftover Pets in desperate need of assistance with a feral colony that was living around my elderly parents house. I didn't expect much of a response, but I was so wrong. They worked with me to allow me to trap the adults one by one and have them spayed and neutered. I fostered all of the kittens and now the situation is 100% under control. This organization is truly wonderful and has saved countless lives. I cannot thank them enough.
We have used Leftover Pets for over 10 years and have even had doctors from other states call us to tell what a great job Dr.Polvere does. These ladies work hard for pets and their community. I would never trust my animals to anyone else ❤️
Leftover Pets has been my preferred spay neuter clinic since 2012
I have had many cats and dogs fixed at their clinic. I have always been happy with my experience at this clinic. The staff is very knowledgeable and their vet does a great spay/neuter! I highly recommend them
We own a business and had feral cats living behind it in an abandoned building . My little girl loves cats and asked if we could help them , naturally getting them fixed was the first solution, along with feeding and general looking after. After fixing the first few , we put out a jar to help raise money for the rest , one had kittens at this time so there were now 7 more . We had a good support from our customers but slow going , Susan heard about us and offered to help !!! It was amazing !! Friendly and professional and just a pleasant business !! Now all the ferals are fixed and we even found homes for all the kittens !!!
They are without a doubt the kindest most generous organization I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with !!
I love Leftover Pets!! We have had one of our cars fixed, then we adopted one, and just adopted three more. They are professional and love what they do! I won't go anywhere else.
Leftover pets is the best! I rescued my first cat from the neighborhood i live in, and was blessed by a donation to get him neutered, improving his quality of life so much! They will also be vetting my new rescue and have also trapped and spayed/ neutered and rabies vaccinated over 100 other cats in my neighborhood in only a year's time. I highly recommend this clinic! We LOVE leftover pets!
I love what they do. Lowcost spay/neuter is extremely important to the community. Susan is awesome to deal with. You can tell that spay/neutering your pets and stray animals extremely important to her.
A great small non-profit that betters the lives of mostly Feral in our community! They have a fabulous TNR program, and have spayed/neutered over 100 ferals at a large trailer park. Defenseless cats & kittens that have been let down by Humans, are fixed, given vaccinations, and are fed thanks to leftover Pets in conjunction with The Rescue Ranch's Rural Outreach Program (that provides much needed food to rescues and rural shelters in need). Leftover Pet's volunteers have started a Meals-on-Wheels program to help those in need, with food supplied by The Rescue Ranch. Leftover's low cost spay/neuter helps their community, where even financially challenged individuals can experience the love of a pet thanks to Leftover Pets. Our community would in my opinion, be at a loss without Leftover Pets.
Before Leftover Pets came to Barrow Co., many had no low cost way to spay/neuter their pets, much has changed over the years since they came along! I personally have had so many spayed/neutered by them, they are a caring, loyal group with hearts! and very dedicated, I want to personally thank them for all they do! Keeping the overpopulation down in Barrow!
Leftover Pets was a lifesaver for our coronavirus rescue! We adopted our kitten in the middle of mass shut downs— meaning there were little options for vet care. Not only did Leftover Pets schedule us in a timely manner, they were super professional and loving! I highly recommend them to all pet owners. They truly serve their community and the communities surrounding.
We've had an awesome expierence with Leftover Pets on several occasions.
The neutered and provided shots to our male GSD. We also just adopted to sister kitties from them that were already dewormed/shots, microchipped and fixed. Their services are acceptional and are carried out from start to finish with the upmost care. You cannot make a mistake by choosing them for your animals needs.
I look forward to what the future will offer them and Barrow Co. residents.
Because Leftover Pets low-cost spay/neuter Clinic provides discount services, we were recently able to adopt three rescued kitten littermates (one is completely blind). Without the financial assistance, we couldn't have afforded the cost. I have breast cancer and the kittens have brought me great joy. Thank you, Leftover Pets, Winder, Ga.!
Leftover Pets is awesome! We have had well over 2 dozen cats fixed by them over the years. Love that we can bring our cats home with us after the surgery instead of leaving them alone overnight and that they offer free rabie vaccines. They do amazing work and help people with grants when possible. So glad they are close by.
