Amazing trails and landscape that is kept clean and easy to use for the public. We are able to fully enjoy the nature around us because of this non-profit organization.

A great and committed Board of Directors guides this organization, which serves rural northeastern California, providing conservation of natural resources and working landscapes, as well as recreational trails and environmental education in the public schools, through a nature camp and their weekly Farmers' Market each summer. In addition, the Trust has a private/public partnership with Lassen National Forest and the Bureau of Land Management to promote regional trails and provide interpretation and visitor services for the Bizz Johnson National Recreation Trail. If you haven't been to this part of the country...go visit and stop by the Trust's office in their historic Susanville railroad depot!

A wonderful effective and committed non-profit! LLTT is firmly rooted within the community and provides important services to the ccommunities of northern CA, such as rails-to-trails, historic preservation of the railroad heritage, events (marathon, handcar races, hikes, skiing and biking events, educational lectures, nature camp for kids). They also hold conservation easements and do excellent habitat restoration work mostly with volunteers!
