Mission: To create, preserve, and enhance economically-viable housing within healthy, self-sustaining neighborhoods of the greater lake city, south carolina, community.
Programs: In support of its charitable mission, lake city housing foundation provided technical assistance to an affordable housing developer and the city of lake city, south carolina, in securing a new 48-unit multi-family housing project that will be marketed exclusively to qualifying low-income residents. This project was awarded irc section 42 low-income housing tax credits. During the 2014 tax year, the foundation signed a commitment letter to provide $250,000 in loan funds in support of the project. The loan is unsecured but subject to interest. It is anticipated that the committed loan funds will be disbursed in june 2015.
