Mission: The Kentucky School for the Deaf Charitable Foundation was established in 1986 to enhance the educational opportunities of students enrolled at the Kentucky School for the Deaf and regional deaf programs affiliated with KSD by:
(1) prudently investing the assets and (2) spending proceeds from investments in ways that make the educational experiences for deaf students at KSD and regional deaf programs affiliated with KSD as valuable as possible
Programs:
Friends of KSD is a project of the Kentucky School for the Deaf Charitable Foundation,
- Purchase essential classroom materials
- Purchase 21st Century technology – many of our staff uses 10-year-old computers
- Purchase new uniforms for our athletic teams and cheerleaders as well as athletic equipment and training equipment.
- Purchase technology and furniture as well as staples such as washers and dryers for the residence halls
- Provide matching money for grants received
