Target demographics: our neighborhood and community partners to take action through volunteer opportunities, tool lending, educational programs, and resource coordination. Our environmental stewardship activities focus on litter prevention and community greening to increase environmental equity and resilience. Environments that are clean and green provide a healthier, better quality of life.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 3000 volunteers prevent 75,000 pounds of litter and plant 400 trees and 3000 native plants
Geographic areas served: Durham
Programs: Litter cleanups, community plantings, and educational activities. Donated services in the amount of 113,266 were received from the city of durham and durham county.
