Causes: Community Improvement & Capacity Building
Mission: The preservation, perpetuation and conservation of the natural beauty, environmental resources, and rural lifestyle of the kaupo community.
Programs: Architectural design and drafting for the restoration of the old kaupo school for use as a community resource center and hazard mitigation shelter for the kaupo community. (construction is ongoing and these expenses have been capitalized on the association's books)
purchase and distribution of approximately 350 rat traps to kaupo community members to help abate the spread of ratlung worm.
purchase of storage containers to store tents, tables, chairs and other supplies used for community events at the historic kaupo school property. (these containers have been capitalized. )
general community outreach events - annual picnic & meetings.
