Programs: Healthy lifestyle - to develop healthy lifestyles, providing healthy living opportunities for all, regardless of their age, ethnicity, income, and ability level. Over 5,034 individuals benefited from the ymca in 2017 with nearly 13% receiving scholarship subsidy. 7% of scholarship recipients were disabled and 61% were minority members.
safe and affordable childcare - to enable kids and families to take part in programs where they are in a safe and caring environment. The ymca's childcare center provided learning and nurturing for 80 children during 2017.
skill and development - to develop the levels of youth and adult skill development through ymca programs. Ymca aquatics classes decrease the odds of water fatalities in the community. Ymca youth fitness classes decrease the odds of unhealthy behaviors developing in young adults. Ymca sports classes teach kids values and skills that make physical activity a lifetime behavior. Ymca senior classes help old adults maintain an active lifestyle.
