I joined this organization to have contact with kids when I retired from teaching. I got more than I expected. I'm able to help kids, I've made new friends, and I found a purpose in something to do after I retired.

Junior Auxiliary of Taney County does service projects that benefit the children of Taney County. After I retired from 30+ years of teaching high school and junior college, I was looking for something that I could volunteer for that involved kids. This organization was perfect for me because I can pick the projects I want to work on, and I know any money or gifts I donate stay local. The bonus for me is that I truly feel that I am making a difference in the lives of many kids.
The Junior Auxiliary of Taney County is a worthy cause in that it provides fun for the children and help to the most vulnerable of our community.
For many years I was looking for an organization where I could give back to the community and one of my friends was a member of JA. When I found out that JA was a nonprofit Women's organization with all the monies raised staying locally to assist children and families of Taney County, I was hooked. I have been with Junior Auxiliary since 2020 and highly recommend this organization to anyone looking to give back to your community. I have made lifelong friends at the same time doing good work. There are many ways to volunteer your time and Junior Auxiliary is worth your time.
An Amazing group of dedicated woman with the same goals to make the lives of children of all ages fulfilled and successful! There dedication to their numerous projects far exceed any other organization I’ve ever been involved in
Are you looking for a local organization in your community that makes a difference? THIS IS IT. This group of ladies do so much for the community. They are so dedicated and caring. They give their heart and soul into the kids of taney County as well as their own money at times. They volunteer their time at the women's crisis center, collect school supplies, stuffed animals, prom dresses, grape fest, and Santa's gift house . They create ways to financially support their year round efforts. Every year they put a tremendous amount of planning into "trivia night". This is their main fund raiser for the year. So if you are looking to volunteer or contribute to a local charity I strongly recommend this group.
The women of JATC demonstrate exceptional commitment to helping the children and families of Taney County. The variety of ways this one organization impacts the lives of children and families is incredible. They are laser focused on determining the needs of the community, adapting to the times, finding unique ways that other organizations are not providing services and the 40+ women rise to the challenge no matter what. These are not just one-shot events, they go on for years. Some examples...free prom dresses, shoes, jewelry and make-up for girls who could not afford to attend their prom; making valuable gifts and hosting a holiday event where kids can purchase (for 50 cents) 4 gifts to give to their loved ones so they learn the joy of giving; supplying the ER with thousands of stuffed animals for kids to receive when they or their family are experiencing trauma; scholarships for 4 seniors every year based on community service in addition to traditional criteria; scholarships and monthly encouragement care packages (all 4 years) for students who are first generation college attendees; providing school supplies and money to elementary schools in January; creating and replenishing a library for children who live in extended-stay motels (low-income housing); providing kid care so moms can attend counseling at the local Crisis Center; engaging kids to write uplifting cards that are delivered to seniors and others in nursing homes.
I had not lived in Branson very long when I joined Junior Auxiliary of Taney County. I found that JATC was the perfect opportunity to make new friends and at the same time be involved with fun projects helping my community and especially the children in Taney County. There is nothing more heart warming than to see children smile as they are paint a pumpkin at the Grape-Fest, pick out a present for someone special at Santa's Gift House, or when young high school students choose a dress for their first prom. I have now moved from the area, but my heart will always be with Junior Auxiliary of Taney County and its members who became my life long friends.
I joined the Junior Auxiliary of Taney County a little over four years ago. This group is very active in the community providing service projects that assist many in the county, and especially service projects that work with and lift up children. Great organization to be involved with that has a big impact on the community. Thank you to all of the JATC members, sponsors and those in the community who help JATC do what we do.
I joined JATC 6 years ago and love being part of the organization! I have worked on many if the projects and am blessed to see the children's welcoming expression as we work with them! The ladies of JATC are a wonderful group of extremely giving women and I look forward to seeing them every month!
When I moved to Branson I was looking for somewhere to volunteer. I checked out several places but JATC was the best fit for me. I was so impressed by all the projects they did and the many accomplishments they made in our county. There were many areas I was interested in helping with and got involved right away. I also liked the fact that they are part of a larger organization.
The members made me feel welcome right away. The training for new members Was a strong program that helped me understand the goals of the group. So far I have volunteered on many projects and am looking forward to getting more involved. JATC makes real, measurable impacts in this community and I highly recommend membership to women in Taney County.
I have personally seen members Of the Taney County Junior auxiliary out buying school supplies and books from the book fairs for kids. Their dedication to helping our community is amazing. They are always fundraising and creating ways to put smiles on kids faces! It’s a great organization.
Has a past board member - these ladies have done so much for the community the last 23 years. Its a privilege to be part of this organization, and all the hard working hours they put into the many project we have. Care today Character tomorrow.
This great organization makes many contributions to our community. Our church, Saint Joseph Anglican, participates in the Tender Critters program. JA supplies these cuddly stuffed animals to the hospital and police department to comfort children in stressful situations. They collect prom dresses to help teens look beautiful at the prom! JA ladies work on a wonderful Christmas house program where young children can buy inexpensive gifts for their families. These ladies give of their time and talents and are greatly appreciated.

I began my journey with JATC my senior year of high school, when I was given a scholarship for college. Every semester they gave me a check to help pay for books and such. The money, as nice at was, was not the reason I love the women at the Junior Auxiliary of Taney County!
Several times, each semester for my entire four years of college, these wonderful ladies would send me carepackages with treats, school supplies, and other goodies. They would also send me the sweetest cards, asking how my life was and updating me with what was going on with them. I kept a letter chain going with most of them over the four years and got to know them well. I was always so excited when I got one of these packages because it was a complete surprise! They always seemed to come on a rough day, which was such a nice little thing to turn my day around :) The thought that someone took time out of their day to do something special for me, truly warmed my heart.
The women at JATC are some of the most hard working, caring, and generous people you will ever meet!
They are always active in the community trying to help every single individual who needs it. Some examples include: collecting school supplies to donate to schools, gathering stuffed animals to take to sick children in the hospital, buy gifts for Christmas assistance, and volunteering their time and services at the local crisis center. I could continue on for a while of all the wonderful things they do for this community, but a simple description would never do justice. ❤️
