Mission: Junior achievement of southern massachusetts is part of the world's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skill they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Our financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs empower students to make a connection between what they learn in school and how it can be applied in the real world. This enhances the relevance of their classroom learning and increases their understanding of the value of staying in school.
Programs: Facilitated programs for business education using 215 local business persons to enter 340 classrooms, delivering programs to approx 6,339 studentsjunior achievement also provides innovative financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship programs outside of the classroom including our titan business challenge program for high school seniors which prepares them for success in the business world and our spark program for middle school girls which builds leadership skills and prepares them to be future entrepreneurs.
