Mission: The organization is organized for charitable and educational purposes. The purpose of the organization is to provide education in the community about systemic causes of economic conditions and to research the needs and concerns of the laid-off and low-income workers in eastern maine.
Programs: Orker rights education:providing education and counseling to laid-off and low-income workers in exercising their rights in the workplace and accessing unemployment insurance and other aid programs.
public policy education:research and public education on local, state and federal policies as they affect economic conditions of maine workers and families.
local, healthy food:improving access and increasing markets for locally-grown, healthy food through a farm share program, education and direct assistance to low-income families in accessing local food.
