The Jackson County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (JC-ARES) provides backup communications for disruptive events. We train to provide emergency voice or digital communication for the County and for other public service agencies.
We train on a regular basis to provide communications when power and normal channels of communications are down or overloaded. We are all volunteers and are ready to assist local hospitals, government agencies and NGOs during and after disaster.
