Mission: To manage and maintain the facilities and grounds of mount itasca in order to provide opportunities to residents of itasca county and visitors for the year-round recreation, health, fitness and athletic excellence, thereby, contributing to the quality of life and economic prosperity of nearby communities.
Programs: The organization received public grants and private donations to complete extensive safety upgrades on all three lifts so we could open all venues (skiing, snowboarding and tubing). A full-time manager was on site in the chalet october through march. In addition,the chalet was used in the summer by athletic camps and social gatherings. The grounds are open year-round to the public. Chalet improvements include a newly shingled roof, plumbing repairs and three new windows and shades which were funded by the irrrb. The blandin foundation funded installation of safety sideboards on the landing hill of the highest jump as required by new regulations.
