Mission: The organization publishes a newsletter for member airports and it also sponsers seminars/conferences during the year.
Programs: Newsletter "ipaa airwaves - ipaa produces three newsletters each year. Each edition contains current news, useful information and notification of up-coming industry events. Ipaa airwaves is distributed to approximately 1,500 addresses, including all iowa airports, local, state and federal officials, consultants, contractors and vendors doing business within iowa's aviation industry and other persons interested in iowa aviation. Airports at the capitol - each winter, at the beginning of the state's legislative session, ipaa hosts a day at the capitol with iowa airports. Airports are invited to set-up displays and visit with state-elected representatives and officials working with iowa's aviation industry. The event includes an organized, sit-down forum with industry recognized speakers and state officials to discuss the status and future of iowa aviation. Iowa aviation conference - each fall, ipaa in partnership with the iowa dot office of aviation, hosts a comprehensive industry conference. This two-day conference includes nationally recognized speakers, exhibitors, elected officials and state and federal aviation administrators. Over two-hundred delegates attend the conference to network with others within iowa's aviation industry, receive a current briefing of the status of iowa aviation and learn new and improved methods of managing airports. Aviation legislative alerts - while the state legislature is in session, ipaa stays on top of proposed legislation and provides e-mail notification on significant developments in legislation. Support for iowa aviation promotion group - ipaa continues to be a charter member of the iowa aviation promotion group and provides financial support for their aviation promotional activities, including fly iowa, the state's premier annual aviation event.
