Mission: The interstate council on water policy is organized and operated for the advancement of science per internal revenue code 501 (c)(3). The icwp hosts forums to discuss national water resources priorities, policies, regulations, data and science with its members, the federal administration and congress. Icwp develops educational materials that communicate the need for robust hydrologic data collection and dissemination and the development of practical tools for water resource managers across the nation.
Programs: The icwp hosted its annual meeting in st. Paul mn. Among the advances in water data and science discussed were the national water model, water use data and research program and the national integrated drought information system.
