Mission: Interfaith medical center's mission is to provide high-quality, cost effective health services that are responsive to the needs of brooklyn residents.
Programs: The top three service lines are behavioral health, medical surgical and ambulatory care. Behavioral health includes psychiatry, alcohol detox, and drug rehabilitation. In 2016, psychiatry dischares were 2,033; alcohol detox discharges were 1,419; drug rehab discharges were 323. The volume trend for these service areas is positive compared to budget. Medical surgical discharges were 5,162 which is approximately 2% less than budgeted and the average length of stay of patients is higher than budget (5. 51 days versus 5. 19 days). This decrease in discharges is in line with federal and state policy direction and goals to reduce avoidable inpatient admissions. The hospital and its community clinic sites provide an array of ambulatory care services. The total number of ambulatory care visits were 109,920.
